A Good Read: A Thousand Splendid Suns

My aunt told me that the only time she ever wept aloud with a book, was when she read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Told through the eyes of two Afghan women, this sad and touching story had me wiping away tears on the New York subway.  I could probably read this book over and over again.

Do you have any book suggestions that take you to another place?
