RTW Trip Valencia, Spain Day 17: Welcomed by friends of friends

The next morning, we said our goodbyes to our hosts in Tiana, to leave for Valencia.  Montse equipped us with train snacks, and dropped us off at the train station to head back to Barcelona, to take a train to Valencia.

We arrived in Valencia, and met up with Christina, the sister of a Spanish friend of ours in New York.  Christina picked us up in her Megane car, and took us to a restaurant where we had a late lunch with Christina, her adorable 3 month old baby Claudia, her husband Sergio, and her parents.

We had a bunch of tapas, and were introduced to a very strong drink called Orujo Blanco.  We then started the party where a flurry of Alberto’s friends joined us for drinks, treating us to bites like razor clams and teeny tiny clams.  They all spoke decent to fluent English, which was helpful for us since we don’t speak Spanish.
